My mom and I have discussed everything from favors to music the last few days. A lot of progress has been made. We have ordered the favors, the program design is done, the readings and other parts of the Mass have been picked out, the frosting for the cake has been matched very closely to the bridesmaids dresses and the flowers we are ordering have been finalized. We also continue to receive RSVP's. All of the RSVP's are being sent to me house and it is so exciting to see bright pink post cards in the mailbox every day.
As the RSVP's come I mark the particular guest off on the list and stick back in its home so we know where it is the next day. My mom even put the list in alphabetical order and then put the response cards in alphabetical order. What a woman!!
Not only did I design the save-the-dates and invitations, but I also designed the programs. I really enjoyed designing the save-the-dates and the invitations so I decided I wanted to design the programs as well. This afternoon I managed to find one sheet of vellum and was able to assemble a sample program. The only thing I was missing was the brown ribbon, which will be used to hold all the pages together. I am also hoping to eliminate the glue dots. I am going to have them printed and cut at a print shop and then my mom, Lindsey, and I will assemble these prior to the wedding.
This is the front of the program. Instead of the staple, we will use a small piece of sheer brown ribbon. I still have to do some color adjustments.
I love the way the "D" looks on this back page. It is just like the front of the program
The pages with the ceremony and wedding participants will be brown typing on ivory paper.
As the days to the wedding quickly diminish, my mom and I will continue to go over details and I will continue to give Dusty a nightly update. We continue to pay close attention to all the little things in order to make sure everything is absolutely perfect, but I still must keep in mind that on mine and Dusty's wedding it won't be about any of the details, it will simply be about us.
